ILI (I-LI 一里) is a London-based architectural studio founded by three visionary designers who met while pursuing their studies at the Bartlett and the University of Edinburgh. With roots in east Asia and the UK, and extensive experience in award-winning architectural practices, we bring a rich, multicultural perspective to every project we undertake.

The name ILI draws inspiration from the traditional Asian unit of measurement, Chinese li (里) Korean ri (리, 里) and Japanese ri (里) , symbolising our philosophy of starting from each step and expanding our architectural experiments to new horizons. We believe in the power of small beginnings to create vast and meaningful change, whether in everyday spaces or extraordinary environments.

Our design language is centered on infusing everyday spaces with vitality and unique textures. Through our work, we aim to redefine the relationship between people and the spaces they inhabit, creating environments that resonate with emotion, imagination, and purpose. We welcome you to join us as we take each step forward, exploring new possibilities and crafting spaces that inspire and elevate the everyday.
