about us

ILI (Yi-Li 一里) is a London-based architectural practice founded by a group of visionary architects and designers. With roots in East Asia and the UK, we bring a rich, multicultural perspective to every project, drawing from our extensive experience in award-winning architectural practices.

The term "Li" originates as a unit of measurement defined by human footsteps, representing varies factors such as companionship, time, weather, terrain, and mood. Each of our projects begins with clear designs and plans, while we remain open to embracing and navigating uncertainties. This concept of "Li" embodies our philosophy of starting from each step and expanding our architectural explorations into new realms.

We believe that small beginnings can lead to significant and meaningful change, whether in everyday spaces or extraordinary environments. We invite you to join us as we take each step forward, exploring new possibilities and crafting inspiring spaces that elevate the everyday.
